Maruti Suzuki India Ltd said on Monday it has chosen five startups for proof of concept (PoC) beneath its Mobility and Automobile Innovation Laboratory (MAIL) programme to assist hasten these concepts towards real time software.
Through a comprehensive exercise involving call for programs, comprehensive screening and pitch sessions, five startups — Docketrun, SenseGiz, Eyedentify, Xane and Enmovil, — were all selected for cohort 1. These five startups introduced their answers in the demonstration day organised in New Delhi.
“The Indian auto market is at a critical juncture.
“We’re hopeful that partnering with those startups, we will enter into a new era of mobility and auto solutions. Our goal is to now work in addition to these startups and improve scalability of their solutions. These smart solutions can help enhance customer experience,” he said in a statement.
Post choice into the very first cohort, all the five startups failed a three-month acceleration program. They were mentored by several specialists from both domestic as well as global startup ecosystem. They obtained guidance from domain experts at Maruti Suzuki.
The startups have been granted entry to Maruti Suzuki’s test mattress and amenities to understand the present scenario and suggest solutions to meet company needs.
