With this movement, Singapore becomes the first country on earth to have a total ban on the advertising of carbonated drinks. Such beverages, in addition to medium-to-high sugar content beverages, should also carry a label on front of the pack to indicate it is unhealthy.

India too is trying to handle this problem. As a nation, India has one of the greatest rates of obesity on earth.

He added,’Big businesses do competitive advertisement of these products to attract children and youth to consume these drinks. Also, it should be made compulsory for the companies to compose the amount of calories to their product.’

Among the biggest health obstacles that our country is currently facing is childhood obesity. If we want to win this conflict, we must act now! As citizens, we need to join in the crusade against sugary drinks and junk food to safeguard our next generation.
