Public sector Indian Bank would soon roll out portals inviting clients to discuss their views on the merger with Allahabad Bank, a top official has said. Indian Bank would be merged together with Allahabad Bank beneath the Centre’s move to unite various public sector banks.

Addressing the assembly, Indian Bank MD and CEO Padmaja Chunduru explained the assembly was organised to make far better understanding on the amalgamation process. The banks have a powerful legacy and they’ve been working on exactly the identical platform enabling comfortable migration of technologies, ” she explained.

‘Very soon, independent customer portals are provided to invite views and suggestions on the merger procedure’, ” she said.

After the merger, Chunduru stated there are an integration of individual resources by way of organising joint trainings of employees of the banks to understand the business models. Successful utilisation of human resources would be cared for domain for appropriate deployment, she explained.

Allahabad Bank executive manager K Ramachandran assured clients that the amalgamation process would be smooth and seamless with no discomfort. The authorities had introduced a mega strategy to unite 10 public sector banks to four as part of strategies to create fewer and stronger global-sized creditors as it looks to improve economic growth.
