PMC Bank scam: Account holders protest beyond Mumbai courtroom, request govt, RBI to get support.

Meanwhile, protesters kept yelling slogans from the accused. They raised slogans of”No Bail, Lambi Jail, No to Banks” outside the court .

Nikhil Voraan account holder with Oshiwara branch of this PMC Bank explained,”Our only fault is we are depositors of the bank to that the RBI had given license. The regulator RBI has failed. More than the accused who are now behind bars, we’re the one suffering regular. Please perform justice and bail us out of the circumstance.”
Another account holder Mahendra Doshi explained,”I am a CA and also have Rs 21 crore from the bank. Now, however, we do not also have Rs 5,000 to conduct the household. There is no clarity on the situation. Occasionally they say Rs 6,500 crore reduction has happened and then change to say that Rs 4,355 crore loss has occurred. But there’s continues to be no clarity.”
“I want to request the government to conserve the lender in the present scenario. You simply take your own time but infuse money and rescue the lender or else the complete banking system will collapse,” Doshi said.
Several distraught PMC Bank accounts holders have been reaching a variety of locations across the town where protests have been held.
The purpose behind the protests is to find some respite from the RBI so that the account holders may access their account.
Account holder Chander Purswani, who was also present in the protest, stated that if lender doesn’t resume its operations, they may perish. “There are account holders and elderly citizens who are really on a standstill. Approximately one crore people are changed,” Purswani said.
Minal Patil who’d travelled from Thane at Mumbai for the demonstration said,”I fulfilled [Maharashtra] Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who has assured us that our money is secure.” However, Fadnavis told Patil he could do nothing because of a code of behavior.
