20,100 HAL Employees To Go on Indefinite Gain From Today After Risks With Management Fail

The worker marriages of the HAL have served notice whatsoever locations of the PSU to go on the indefinite strike from October 14 with respect to settlement of income revision effective from January 1, 2017, Bengaluru-headquartered firm said in an announcement.

The choice to go on a strike was shot on Sunday night after the meeting involving the co-ordination committee of HAL Trade Unions and the HAL administration failed to reach any consensus.

‘As talks and reconciliation efforts with the direction collapsed on our requirements, particularly wage revision, we are going forward with the strike from Monday as per the notice we served that a fortnight ago in accordance with the labour laws,’ HAL trade unions’ General Secretary S Chandrashekar stated.

The HAL at a release stated it held conciliatory talks about Saturday and Sunday in an attempt to prevent the attack and provided to enhance allowance below the cafeteria system and revised speed of fitment benefit at 11 percent amongst others.

The indefinite protest was endorsed by all the recognised 9 marriages, spread over different countries.

Previously in June, roughly 500 workers of HAL had gone to an indefinite relay hunger strike, requiring settlement of salary and additionally salaries on par with other public sector undertakings. The company union had demanded an equivalent treatment between the executives and workmen with exactly the same fitment and perks, as is the case for most public sector enterprises.
